About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly organised and proactive Property Portfolio Manager to oversee a significant portfolio of residential properties across Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. This role involves managing all aspects of property letting and maintenance, ensuring optimal performance and tenant satisfaction. You will be the primary point of contact for landlords and tenants, handling inquiries, resolving issues, and coordinating maintenance works. This is a remote-first position offering flexibility while requiring a thorough understanding of the Hampshire rental market and excellent communication skills to manage properties effectively from a distance.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a diverse portfolio of residential properties, ensuring efficient operation.
- Oversee the tenant application and screening process, including referencing and contract preparation.
- Coordinate all property maintenance and repair requests, liaising with contractors and managing budgets.
- Conduct regular property inspections (virtual or in-person as needed) and provide reports to landlords.
- Handle tenant inquiries, resolve disputes, and ensure compliance with tenancy agreements and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of tenancies, rent payments, and property expenditures.
Requirements
- Proven experience in property management or lettings.
- Strong knowledge of landlord and tenant legislation within England.
- Excellent organisational, time-management, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in property management software and digital communication tools.
- Ability to manage a remote workload effectively and independently.
- Good understanding of the Portsmouth rental market is advantageous.
