Job Description
Our client, a modern and forward-thinking legal firm, is looking to strengthen its residential property team with the appointment of a Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer. This role has arisen due to continued growth, and the successful candidate will play a key part in shaping the future of the residential property service.
This is a client-facing, caseload-led role suited to someone who enjoys ownership and autonomy — managing your own matters from instruction through to post-completion, and building strong relationships with clients, agents and lenders along the way.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗴𝗲𝘁
* Salary of £50,000–£53,000
* 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and your birthday off
* Early finish Fridays
* Genuine progression opportunities within the firm

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘆𝗼𝘂’𝗹𝗹 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴
* Managing your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters, from instruction through to post-completion
* Drafting and reviewing contracts, transfer deeds, leasehold documentation, reports to lenders/clients and completion statements
* Carrying out title reviews, due diligence and searches in line with best practice and lender requirements
* Liaising with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders and other solicitors/conveyancers to progress transactions smoothly
* Providing clear, commercially aware legal advice tailored to each client
* Supporting business development opportunities where relevant
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘄𝗲’𝗿𝗲 𝗹𝗼𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿
* Qualified Solicitor with 1-2 years PQE in residential property, or a Licensed Conveyancer
* Proven experience managing a caseload independently
* Strong technical knowledge across sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity and leasehold
* Excellent communication skills and a client-focused approach
* Ability to manage a varied caseload and keep transactions progressing without delay
