Protection and Control Design Engineer

Essential Skillset

• Minimum 5 years experience designing HV Substation Protection & Control systems
• Strong knowledge of protection schemes, relay settings and interlocking
• Experience across transmission and distribution projects
• Knowledge of SCADA, substation automation and IEC 61850
• Experience producing schematics, drawings and technical documentation
• Understanding of transformers, switchgear, busbars and HV equipment
• Experience with ETAP, DIgSILENT, EPLAN, Helinks or similar
• Electrical Engineering degree or equivalent experience
• Strong technical, analytical xwwtmva and problem-solving skills
• Good communication and stakeholder management skills
• Experience supporting testing, commissioning and troubleshooting would be advantageous
