This is an ideal opportunity for a Psychology graduate looking to gain practical experience before pursuing a career in teaching, educational psychology, mental health or other child-focused professions.

As a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will provide personalised support to pupils with a variety of additional needs, which may include ASD, ADHD, SEMH, learning difficulties and complex behavioural needs.

The Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant role will involve:

Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis

• Helping students engage positively with their learning
• Developing positive relationships with pupils and encouraging confidence
• Supporting emotional wellbeing and behaviour management
• Using an understanding of psychology to adapt support to individual needs
• Assisting Teachers with classroom activities and interventions
• Promoting independence, communication and social development
• ASAP start in Newbury with good transport linksThe school is looking for a Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant who is caring, resilient and genuinely passionate about helping young people. Experience working with children or vulnerable individuals is desirable, alongside a strong interest in SEN and mental health.
