About the Role

Our client is seeking a strategic and influential Public Affairs Advisor to join their team in Plymouth . This role is vital for managing the client's engagement with government bodies, policymakers, and key stakeholders to advocate for their interests and shape public policy. You will be responsible for monitoring legislative developments, developing policy positions, and implementing advocacy strategies to ensure favourable outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement effective public affairs and lobbying strategies.
• Monitor political and regulatory developments relevant to the client's business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with government officials, policymakers, and industry associations.
• Analyse policy proposals and articulate the client's position clearly and persuasively.
• Prepare policy briefings, position papers, and advocacy materials.
• Represent the client in relevant stakeholder forums and public consultations.

Requirements

• Substantial experience in Public Affairs , government relations, or policy advocacy.
• Deep understanding of the legislative and policy-making processes.
• Proven ability to build and manage relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical, research, and communication skills.
• Experience in drafting policy documents and advocacy materials.
• A relevant degree in Political Science, Law, Economics, or a related field.
