About the Role

This role focuses on managing the organisation's relationship with government bodies, policymakers, and key influencers to advocate for its interests and promote its public policy objectives. You will be responsible for monitoring legislative developments, developing policy positions, and engaging in strategic dialogue to shape public opinion and policy outcomes. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to engage with government officials and policymakers.
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments affecting the organisation.
• Analyse policy proposals and articulate the company's position effectively.
• Prepare briefing materials, position papers, and presentations for key stakeholders.
• Build and maintain relationships with government departments, NGOs, and industry associations.
• Represent the organisation at relevant industry events and public consultations.

Requirements

• Proven experience in public affairs , government relations, or policy advocacy.
• Strong understanding of the UK political and legislative processes.
• Excellent analytical, research, and written communication skills.
• Ability to articulate complex policy issues clearly and persuasively.
• Experience in stakeholder engagement and relationship management.
• A relevant degree in Politics, Law, Public Policy, or a related discipline is advantageous.
