Public Relations Executive

About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and creative Public Relations Executive to join their expanding team in Birmingham . In this role, you will support the PR Manager in executing impactful communication strategies, building brand visibility, and managing media relationships within the West Midlands region. You'll be involved in crafting engaging content, coordinating press events, and monitoring industry trends, playing a vital role in enhancing our client's public image. Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and execution of PR campaigns and media outreach initiatives.
• Draft and distribute press releases, media advisories, and other PR collateral.
• Build and maintain positive relationships with local and national media contacts in Birmingham .
• Monitor media coverage and report on campaign effectiveness and competitor activity.
• Support the planning and execution of press conferences, media events, and product launches.
• Contribute to social media content creation and engagement strategies to amplify PR efforts.

Requirements

• A degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• 1-3 years of experience in a PR or communications role, preferably within an agency or in-house team.
• Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with the ability to adapt tone for different audiences.
• Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Familiarity with media monitoring tools and social media platforms.
• A keen interest in the media industry and a passion for effective communication.
