About the Role

Our client is seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Public Relations Executive to join their established communications team in Edinburgh . You will support the PR Manager in executing media relations strategies, crafting compelling press materials, and managing client communications. This role is ideal for an aspiring PR professional looking to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced agency environment, contributing to impactful campaigns and building strong media relationships within a supportive team structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of PR strategies for a portfolio of clients.
• Draft and edit press releases, media alerts, case studies, and client reports.
• Pitch stories and build relationships with key media contacts in relevant sectors.
• Monitor media coverage and compile regular reports on client and competitor activity.
• Support event planning and execution for PR activities.
• Conduct research on industry trends and potential new business opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• 1-2 years of experience in a PR agency or in-house communications role is advantageous.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong research and organizational abilities.
• Familiarity with PR databases and media monitoring tools.
