About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic Public Relations Manager to lead strategic communication efforts from their Aberdeen office. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive PR campaigns that enhance brand visibility, manage reputation, and foster positive relationships with media outlets, stakeholders, and the public. This pivotal role requires a creative thinker with a proven track record in media relations and a deep understanding of the evolving PR landscape, contributing significantly to the company's communication strategy and brand narrative within the vibrant Scottish market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement innovative public relations strategies and campaigns to achieve business objectives.
• Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers, and key media contacts across local, national, and international platforms.
• Craft compelling press releases, media advisories, speeches, and other communication materials.
• Manage media inquiries, coordinate press conferences, and handle crisis communication situations effectively.
• Monitor media coverage, analyze campaign performance, and provide regular reports on PR outcomes and ROI.
• Collaborate with marketing, social media, and other internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and integrated campaign execution.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in public relations, agency or in-house.
• Demonstrated success in developing and executing successful PR campaigns and achieving media placements.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and storytelling.
• Strong media relations network and proven ability to build rapport with diverse media stakeholders.
• Proficiency in using PR software and analytics tools for campaign tracking and reporting.
