About the Role

Our client is looking for a proactive and creative Public Relations Specialist to join their team in Birmingham . This role is crucial for managing daily PR activities, supporting the PR Manager, and ensuring effective communication with the media and public. You will play a key part in promoting the company's image and key messages, contributing to the overall success of the PR department. The ideal candidate will have a passion for storytelling and a keen understanding of media relations within the UK .

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in the development and implementation of PR campaigns and communication plans.
• Respond to media inquiries and facilitate interview requests in a timely and professional manner.
• Monitor and analyze media coverage, preparing reports on PR campaign effectiveness.
• Support the creation of press releases, articles, and social media content for PR purposes.
• Organize press conferences and media events, ensuring smooth execution.
• Maintain and update media contact databases and ensure positive relationships with stakeholders.

Requirements

• 2-4 years of experience in a Public Relations role, preferably within an agency or corporate setting.
• Familiarity with media relations, press release writing, and event coordination.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a strong command of English.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Experience using PR software and social media platforms for monitoring and engagement.
• A Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related discipline.
