We are recruiting on behalf of an established specialist engineering and maintenance business looking to add an experienced Pump Engineer to its field-based team.
The company provides a range of engineering, maintenance and infrastructure services to commercial and domestic customers across the region and has built a strong reputation for delivering reliable technical support.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer looking for a secure, long-term position with strong earning potential, ongoing training and development.
The Role
As a Pump Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a variety of pumping equipment across customer sites.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Servicing and maintaining pumps and associated equipment
- Working on wastewater and surface water pumping systems
- Diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults
- Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
- Inspecting equipment and associated infrastructure
- Attending breakdowns and emergency call-outs when required
- Identifying faults and completing repairs efficiently
- Working independently across customer sites
- Completing work safely and to a high standard
What We're Looking For
We are looking for someone with previous experience working with pumps, pumping equipment or associated mechanical and electrical systems.
Ideally, you will have:
- Previous pump engineering or maintenance experience
- Good mechanical and electrical knowledge
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience within a field service or maintenance environment
- A proactive and reliable approach to work
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to participate in an on-call rota
- Flexibility to travel throughout the local region
- Full UK driving licence
