About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent and proactive Purchasing Administrator to support their procurement team in Belfast . This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth day-to-day operations of the purchasing function, involving order processing, supplier liaison, and record-keeping. You will contribute to maintaining efficient supply chains and achieving cost-effective procurement solutions. This hybrid position offers a blend of office-based collaboration in Belfast and remote working flexibility, ideal for someone who thrives in a structured yet adaptable work environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase orders and ensure accuracy of details and pricing.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm order details, delivery schedules, and resolve discrepancies.
- Maintain organized records of all purchasing transactions, invoices, and supplier correspondence.
- Assist in obtaining quotes and comparing supplier prices for various goods and services.
- Support the Purchasing Manager with data analysis and report preparation.
- Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with relevant departments to manage stock efficiently.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Purchasing Administrator or in a similar administrative support role.
- Familiarity with purchasing procedures and terminology.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
