About the Role
Our client is looking for an organized and efficient Purchasing Administrator to support their procurement activities from Southampton . This role is fundamental to the smooth operation of the purchasing department, involving the processing of purchase orders, managing supplier inquiries, and maintaining accurate records. You will work closely with buyers and other team members to ensure that all purchasing documentation is complete and that the procurement process runs seamlessly. Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase orders and requisitions accurately and efficiently.
- Liaise with suppliers to confirm orders, delivery dates, and resolve any discrepancies.
- Maintain the purchasing database, ensuring all supplier and product information is up-to-date.
- Assist buyers with supplier research and obtaining quotations.
- Handle incoming communications from suppliers and internal departments regarding purchasing matters.
- Support the procurement team with administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or purchasing support role is advantageous.
- Strong organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
