About the Role
Our client is seeking an organized and proactive Purchasing Administrator to support their procurement function in Sunderland . This role is vital for the smooth day-to-day operation of the purchasing department, ensuring all administrative tasks are handled efficiently and accurately. You will be responsible for processing purchase orders, managing supplier communications, maintaining records, and providing general administrative support to the purchasing team. Key Responsibilities
- Process purchase requisitions and raise purchase orders accurately and efficiently.
- Communicate with suppliers regarding order status, deliveries, and invoices.
- Maintain and update procurement records , databases, and filing systems.
- Assist with the preparation of quotations, tenders, and contract documents.
- Monitor stock levels and liaise with inventory management to ensure adequate supply.
- Provide general administrative support to the purchasing team, including scheduling meetings and managing correspondence.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative role, ideally within a purchasing or finance department.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
