About the Role
Our client is looking for an organised and efficient Purchasing Coordinator to support their procurement operations in Norwich . This role is key to the smooth functioning of the purchasing department, involving the coordination of orders, supplier liaison, and administrative support. You will work alongside experienced buyers to ensure that goods and services are procured effectively and on time. This hybrid role combines regular office presence with the option of remote work, offering a dynamic and supportive environment for career growth in purchasing.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate the processing of purchase orders, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Act as a point of contact for suppliers, handling inquiries regarding orders and deliveries.
- Maintain and update procurement records, including supplier details and order histories.
- Track the status of outstanding orders and proactively address any potential delays or issues.
- Assist in preparing procurement reports and analyses for the management team.
- Support the wider procurement team with administrative tasks and ad-hoc requests.
Requirements
- Previous experience in an administrative or coordination role, preferably within a purchasing or logistics function.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience with procurement systems.
- Strong organizational skills and exceptional attention to detail.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with suppliers.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a busy environment.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn.
