QA Automation Engineer 6 Months Ipswich £350/day Umbrella
REED Technology are recruiting for a QA Automation Engineer to join a leading technology organisation delivering next-generation broadband and connectivity products.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys building automated test solutions, improving test infrastructure and working with modern networking technologies.
You'll play a key role in developing Python-based automation, maintaining Linux and containerised test environments and helping ensure the quality of customer-facing products used at scale.
What you'll be doing
Developing automated test scripts using Python Maintaining and enhancing CPE and broadband test environments Supporting Linux, Docker and virtualised platforms Investigating complex technical issues and identifying solutions Collaborating within Agile delivery teams Using Git, GitLab and Jira to support software delivery Contributing to ongoing platform and process improvementsWhat we're looking for
Strong Python skills Linux and Docker experience Knowledge of VMs and containerisation Experience with Git, GitLab and Jira Background in automation testing Agile/Scrum experience Strong problem-solving and communication skillsDesirable experience
Broadband, telecoms or networking environments CPE or Home Gateway testing IPv4/IPv6 networking FTTP, xDSL and Wi-Fi technologies RF or wireless networking concepts 4G/5G network knowledgeThis is an excellent opportunity to work on technically complex products in a modern engineering environment where automation, connectivity and platform quality are at the heart of delivery.
