QA Engineer

We are seeking a dedicated QA Engineer to join our growing team in Walsall, Birmingham. This role is key to ensuring the quality and compliance of our projects across the region.

Responsibilities

• Implement quality assurance procedures to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations
• Work closely with project managers, site engineers, and other team members to uphold quality benchmarks throughout each project
• Conduct quality inspections and audits, and prepare detailed progress and compliance reports
• Assist in the planning and execution of quality control activities across construction phases
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure materials and workmanship meet required quality standards
• Provide technical support and guidance to site teams on quality-related matters
• Identify non-conformances, investigate root causes, and recommend corrective actions
• Ensure all work is carried out to specification and relevant quality standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field
• Proven experience as a QA Engineer, Quality Control Engineer, or in a similar role within construction
• Strong understanding of construction processes, quality standards, and safety regulations
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proficiency in relevant engineering software, such as AutoCAD
• Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus but not essential
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing environments
