We are delighted to announce an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to join a specialist SEN school/Trust in Twickenham. About the Role

Working across both the primary and secondary sites, you will provide high-quality occupational therapy support to pupils with a range of physical, sensory and developmental needs. Your role will be varied and impactful, balancing whole-class and group support with targeted individual intervention.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging sensory and motor skills sessions across primary and secondary SEN settings
• Carry out detailed assessments of pupils' sensory, physical and functional needs
• Write clear, accurate and pupil-centred reports to inform EHCP reviews, progress tracking and wider MDT planning
• Deliver specialist 1:1 interventions where appropriate, tailored to individual pupil profiles and targets
• Collaborate closely with teachers, SENCOs, teaching assistants and external professionals
• Provide guidance and training to school staff to embed sensory and motor strategies across the curriculum
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records in line with professional and school standards
• Follow safeguarding, health and safety and school-specific policies at all times

About You

• Degree in Occupational Therapy and HCPC registration (essential)
• Experience working with children and young people with SEND, including complex physical and sensory needs
• Confident in delivering both group/whole-class sessions and specialist 1:1 interventions
• Strong assessment and report writing skills
• Experience working within an educational or SEN setting (desirable)
• Collaborative, patient and pupil-focused approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the well being of all pupils
