Quality Assurance Inspector - Aerospace

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous and experienced Quality Assurance Inspector specializing in the aerospace sector, to join their team in Edinburgh . This role is vital in ensuring that all manufactured and maintained aircraft components and systems meet stringent quality standards and regulatory requirements. You will conduct detailed inspections, audits, and verifications throughout the production and maintenance processes. This hybrid role allows for effective collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and maintenance teams, balancing on-site critical inspections with off-site documentation review and analysis, contributing to the overall safety and reliability of aerospace products in Edinburgh .

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed inspections of aircraft components, assemblies, and finished products to verify compliance with specifications and drawings.
• Perform in-process quality checks and audits of manufacturing and maintenance operations.
• Review and approve quality documentation, including inspection reports, non-conformance reports (NCRs), and certificates of conformance.
• Investigate quality issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective and preventative actions (CAPA).
• Ensure adherence to all relevant aviation quality standards and regulatory requirements (e.g., EASA Part 21, AS9100).
• Maintain accurate inspection records and contribute to the continuous improvement of quality systems.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quality Inspector in the aerospace or related manufacturing industry.
• Thorough understanding of aerospace quality standards, inspection techniques, and measurement tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality documentation.
• Experience with non-conformance reporting and root cause analysis methodologies.
• Knowledge of EASA Part 21, AS9100, or similar quality management systems.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and commitment to upholding quality standards.
