Quality Assurance Manager

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality initiatives, based in or near Cambridge . This leadership role is responsible for establishing, implementing, and maintaining a robust quality management system across all manufacturing operations. You will drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, and foster a company-wide culture of quality excellence. This is a critical position for a dedicated professional who can provide strategic direction, lead a team, and make a significant impact on product integrity and customer satisfaction, offering a blend of on-site collaboration and remote work flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and manage the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with relevant standards (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Lead and mentor the Quality Assurance team, fostering professional development and high performance.
• Oversee all quality control activities, including inspections, testing, and process validation.
• Conduct internal audits and facilitate external audits by regulatory bodies and customers.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement corrective and preventative actions (CAPA) to resolve issues.
• Collaborate with R&D, Production, and other departments to ensure product quality from design to delivery.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field; advanced degree preferred.
• Significant experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management within a manufacturing environment.
• Proven track record of successfully implementing and maintaining QMS.
• Strong knowledge of quality control methodologies, statistical process control (SPC), and auditing principles.
• Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
