About the Role
Our client is looking for a seasoned and strategic Quality Assurance Manager to lead their quality initiatives at their manufacturing site in Bristol . This leadership role is responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining the company's quality management system to ensure all products meet the highest standards of quality and compliance. You will lead a team of QA professionals, drive continuous improvement, and champion a culture of quality throughout the organization. This is a key position for an experienced QA leader.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and manage the overall Quality Management System (QMS) to ensure compliance with relevant standards.
- Lead and mentor the Quality Assurance team, setting performance goals and providing development opportunities.
- Oversee all quality control activities, including inspections, testing, and process audits.
- Investigate quality deviations, customer complaints, and non-conformances, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes to enhance product quality and reduce defects.
- Liaise with regulatory bodies, customers, and suppliers on quality-related matters.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant scientific or engineering field; advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance management within the manufacturing industry.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and regulatory requirements.
- Proven experience in leading QA teams and implementing successful CAPA programs.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
