About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and dedicated Quality Assurance Officer to ensure the highest standards of product quality and safety within their FMCG manufacturing facility in Stoke-on-Trent . This vital role involves implementing and monitoring quality management systems, conducting inspections, and ensuring compliance with all relevant industry regulations and standards. You will play a key part in maintaining product integrity from raw material sourcing through to finished goods, supporting the company's reputation for excellence. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of QA principles, and a commitment to upholding quality in a fast-paced production environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and associated documentation.
- Conduct regular quality inspections and audits of production processes, raw materials, and finished products.
- Investigate product quality issues, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Ensure compliance with relevant food safety regulations, industry standards (e.g., BRC, ISO), and customer requirements.
- Monitor environmental monitoring programs and hygiene standards within the production facility.
- Train production staff on quality standards and procedures, fostering a quality-conscious culture.
Requirements
- Proven experience in a Quality Assurance role, preferably within the FMCG or food manufacturing industry.
- Strong knowledge of quality management systems, HACCP, and relevant food safety standards.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills for problem-solving.
- Good understanding of laboratory testing procedures and data interpretation.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with production teams and management.
- Relevant qualification in Food Science, Quality Management, or a related field is preferred.
