About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous Quality Assurance Officer to join their dedicated quality team in Sunderland . This role is essential for upholding the highest standards of quality and compliance across all pharmaceutical manufacturing and operational processes. You will be responsible for implementing and maintaining the Quality Management System (QMS), conducting audits, and ensuring adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and other relevant regulations. This is a key position for an individual committed to quality excellence in the pharmaceutical sector within Tyne and Wear .
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS) in line with GMP standards.
- Conduct internal audits and support external regulatory inspections and customer audits.
- Review and approve batch manufacturing records, specifications, and other quality-critical documentation.
- Investigate deviations, out-of-specification (OOS) results, and customer complaints, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Participate in change control processes and risk assessments to ensure product quality and safety.
- Provide training on quality procedures and GMP principles to relevant personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology, or a related scientific field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Solid understanding of GMP, GDP, and relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Experience with audit procedures, deviation investigations, and CAPA management.
- Proficiency in document control and QMS software.
- Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail.
