About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent Quality Assurance Technician to join their manufacturing team in Reading . This role involves supporting the Quality Manager in maintaining and improving the company's quality management system. You will be responsible for performing inspections, testing products, analyzing data, and contributing to the overall assurance of product quality and compliance. This position offers a chance to work in a hybrid capacity, balancing responsibilities at our facility with remote data analysis and reporting, contributing to our commitment to excellence in manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct routine quality checks and tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to established procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of all quality assurance activities, including inspection results, test data, and non-conformance reports.
- Assist in the investigation of quality issues, root cause analysis, and the implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Support the calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment and testing instruments.
- Prepare reports on quality performance metrics, trends, and areas for improvement for management review.
- Contribute to the development and updating of quality control procedures and work instructions.
Requirements
- Experience in a Quality Assurance or Quality Control role within a manufacturing or industrial setting.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and relevant quality control techniques.
- Proficiency in using standard laboratory equipment and measuring instruments.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Good written and verbal communication abilities, suitable for a hybrid working environment.
