Quality Assurance (QA) – Day Shift

Salary: £29,800 – £32,032 per annum Shift: Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 6:00pm Location: Rochester Industry: Food Manufacturing

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Assurance (QA) professional to join our food manufacturing team in Rochester on a permanent day-shift basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in food quality, food safety and manufacturing who is looking to develop their career within a busy production environment.

The Role

As a QA, you will be responsible for ensuring that products are manufactured safely, legally and to the required quality standards. Working closely with the Production team, you will monitor processes, complete quality checks and ensure food safety procedures are consistently followed.

Key Responsibilities

Carry out regular quality and food safety checks throughout production.

Monitor production processes against agreed quality standards and specifications.

*

Complete quality records and documentation accurately.

*

Monitor HACCP controls and Critical Control Points (CCPs).

*

Ensure Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) are maintained.

*

Identify and report quality, food safety and hygiene issues.

*

Support investigations into non-conformances and corrective actions.

*

Work closely with Production to resolve quality issues.

*

Ensure products meet customer, company and legal requirements.

*

Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety throughout the site.

*

Escalate any quality or food safety concerns appropriately.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous QA/QC experience within a food manufacturing environment.

*

Good knowledge of HACCP, food safety and GMP.

*

Excellent attention to detail.

*

A methodical and organised approach to work.

*

The confidence to challenge and escalate food safety or quality concerns.

*

Good communication and teamwork skills.

*

The ability to work independently and manage priorities.

*

A proactive and reliable approach.

Working Hours & Benefits

£29,800 – £32,032 per annum

Monday – Thursday, 6:00am – 6:00pm

*

4 weeks' annual holiday

*

Pro-rata bank holidays

*

Additional day of holiday for every completed year of service, capped at one working week
