About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent Quality Control Analyst for their pharmaceutical manufacturing facility. This laboratory-based role in Southampton is fundamental to ensuring the quality and safety of our pharmaceutical products. You will perform a range of analytical tests on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products according to established procedures and regulatory standards. This is a hands-on role for someone committed to upholding the highest standards of quality in pharmaceutical production.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing on raw materials, intermediates, and finished products using various laboratory techniques (e.g., HPLC, GC, spectroscopy).
- Accurately record and review test results, ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and internal specifications.
- Prepare reagents, calibrate laboratory equipment, and maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
- Investigate out-of-specification (OOS) results and deviations, and participate in root cause analysis.
- Validate analytical methods and contribute to method transfer activities.
- Maintain comprehensive documentation of all laboratory activities and results.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Science, or a related discipline.
- Experience in a QC laboratory environment, preferably within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Proficiency with analytical instrumentation such as HPLC, GC, and UV-Vis spectrophotometers.
- Knowledge of GMP and regulatory requirements for pharmaceutical quality control.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow complex procedures accurately.
- Good laboratory practice (GLP) and documentation skills.
