Quality Control Inspector

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Quality Control Inspector to join their manufacturing team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is essential for ensuring that all manufactured products meet stringent quality standards before they reach the customer. You will be responsible for inspecting raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods, identifying defects, and reporting findings to management. The successful candidate will be detail-oriented, possess strong analytical skills, and contribute to maintaining the company's reputation for high-quality production.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, work-in-progress, and finished products.
• Utilize various testing and measurement equipment to verify product specifications.
• Document inspection results accurately and maintain detailed quality records.
• Identify non-conforming products and initiate corrective action procedures.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to address quality issues and implement improvements.
• Participate in internal audits and support external quality certifications.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quality Control Inspector or in a similar quality assurance role.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments and testing equipment.
• Strong understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001).
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
