Quality Control Inspector

About the Role

Our client is looking for a meticulous Quality Control Inspector to join their manufacturing team in Newcastle upon Tyne . The successful candidate will be responsible for examining raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products to ensure they meet stringent quality standards. This role is critical in upholding the company's reputation for excellence and preventing defective products from reaching customers, ensuring all manufactured goods are compliant and of the highest calibre.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products according to established procedures.
• Document inspection results accurately, reporting any deviations from specifications or standards.
• Calibrate and maintain testing equipment to ensure accuracy and reliability.
• Identify and isolate non-conforming products, initiating the process for corrective action.
• Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues and implement process improvements.
• Participate in internal audits and support external quality assurance audits.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quality Control Inspector or in a similar quality assurance role.
• Familiarity with quality control techniques and testing methodologies relevant to manufacturing.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to spot subtle defects.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments and testing equipment.
• Good understanding of quality management systems and standards.
