Quality Control Inspector

About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and detail-oriented Quality Control Inspector to join their manufacturing team in Portsmouth . This role is critical for ensuring that all products meet the company's rigorous quality standards before they are dispatched to customers. You will be responsible for performing inspections, testing materials and products, and documenting findings. The ideal candidate possesses a keen eye for detail, a strong understanding of quality control principles, and the ability to work accurately and efficiently in a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
• Conduct product testing using various measurement and testing equipment.
• Document inspection results accurately and report any non-conformities to the Quality Manager.
• Verify that products comply with specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
• Participate in the identification and implementation of corrective actions for quality issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quality Control Inspector or in a similar quality role within manufacturing.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good understanding of quality control principles and procedures.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
