Quality Control Inspector

About the Role

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a meticulous Quality Control Inspector to join their manufacturing team based in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role is critical in ensuring that all manufactured products meet the company's stringent quality standards and customer specifications. You will be responsible for conducting thorough inspections, identifying defects, and contributing to the overall quality assurance strategy. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest levels of product integrity, working within a facility dedicated to innovation and excellence in production.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished goods.
• Utilise various measuring instruments and testing equipment to verify product conformance to specifications.
• Identify, document, and report any non-conforming products or quality issues to relevant departments.
• Participate in root cause analysis for quality defects and assist in implementing corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and calibration logs for testing equipment.
• Adhere to all safety protocols and company quality policies during inspection activities.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Quality Inspector or in a similar quality assurance role within manufacturing.
• Familiarity with quality control tools and techniques (e.g., calipers, micrometres, gauges).
• Strong understanding of quality standards and documentation procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good communication skills for reporting findings.
