About the Role
Our client is looking for a diligent and experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee quality assurance operations at their state-of-the-art facility in Coventry . This leadership position is responsible for establishing and enforcing quality standards, ensuring compliance with industry regulations, and driving continuous improvement in product quality. You will lead a team of quality control inspectors and technicians, working collaboratively with production, engineering, and R&D departments to maintain the highest levels of product integrity. The successful candidate will be adept at implementing robust quality management systems and possess exceptional attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive quality control procedures and standards.
- Lead, train, and manage the quality control team, ensuring efficient performance and adherence to protocols.
- Conduct regular audits of production processes and finished goods to identify and rectify non-conformities.
- Analyze quality data, generate reports, and present findings to senior management with actionable recommendations.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure the quality of incoming raw materials and components.
- Investigate customer complaints related to product quality and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Management, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance, with at least 3 years in a management role.
- In-depth knowledge of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and relevant industry standards.
- Strong understanding of statistical process control (SPC) and other quality tools.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is essential.
