About the Role
Our client is seeking a meticulous and proactive Quality Control Supervisor to lead their quality assurance team in Leeds . This role is responsible for implementing and maintaining robust quality control systems to ensure all manufactured products meet stringent standards and customer specifications. You will be at the forefront of identifying and resolving quality issues, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills and a keen eye for detail, contributing to the company's commitment to excellence in every product.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and guide the daily activities of the quality control team, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to procedures.
- Implement and monitor quality control procedures, conducting regular inspections and testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished goods.
- Investigate quality discrepancies and customer complaints, identifying root causes and implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Develop and maintain quality documentation, including inspection records, test results, and non-conformance reports.
- Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Train and mentor QC team members on quality standards, testing methods, and best practices.
Requirements
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in quality control or quality assurance within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven experience in supervising a team and managing quality control operations.
- Solid understanding of quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and statistical process control (SPC).
- Proficiency in using quality control testing equipment and methodologies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, with excellent problem-solving capabilities.
