Hours: 8am - 5pm Mon to Thur and until 2pm on Fri

Vickerstock are working with an established engineering and manufacturing business in the recruitment of a Quality Engineer for their Tyrone operation.
The company designs and builds heavy machinery and this position will take responsibility for supporting and improving quality throughout the manufacturing operation.
This is a hands-on Quality Engineering position suited to someone who enjoys working closely with manufacturing teams, identifying quality issues, getting to the root cause of problems and implementing practical improvements.
Key Responsibilities for this Quality Engineer position
- Lead and support quality assurance activities across manufacturing
- Develop and maintain quality standards, inspection criteria and control plans
- Monitor product and process quality and identify opportunities for improvement
- Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions
- Support manufacturing teams in improving right-first-time performance
- Analyse quality data to identify trends and recurring issues
- Support customer and supplier quality activities
- Drive defect reduction and Continuous Improvement initiatives
- Work closely with Engineering and Production to improve product and process quality
Essential Criteria for this Quality Engineer position
- Proven experience in managing a Quality Management System
- A minimum of 2 years Quality Engineering experience within a similar manufacturing or engineering environment
- Experience of root cause analysis, corrective actions and quality problem solving
- Experience working within a fabrication, welding, assembly or similar manufacturing environment
- Experience of working with quality data and identifying opportunities for improvement
- A relatable 3rd level qualification
Experience within heavy machinery, engineering, metal manufacturing, automotive, aerospace or another complex manufacturing environment would be particularly relevant.
