Job Description
Key Responsibilities
· Carry out inspection of manufactured and fabricated components.
· Check parts against engineering drawings, tolerances and customer specifications.
· Use measuring equipment including verniers, micrometers, height gauges and other inspection tools.
· Complete first-off, in-process and final inspections.
· Identify and report non-conforming products.
· Work closely with production teams to resolve quality issues.
· Complete relevant inspection and quality documentation.
· Ensure measuring equipment is used correctly and maintained appropriately.
· Support continuous improvement and help maintain high quality standards across the site.
· Follow all company Health & Safety and quality procedures.
* Final inspection of completed components prior to despatch.
* Checking jobs are complete and ready to leave site.
* Ensuring the correct quantities, paperwork and quality documentation are with each job.
* Working closely with production and despatch teams to resolve any issues before goods are released.
* Carrying out inspection duties on the shopfloor using appropriate measuring equipment.
Skills & Experience
· Previous experience in a Quality Inspector, Engineering Inspector or similar manufacturing role.
· Ability to confidently read and understand engineering drawings.
· Experience using inspection and measuring equipment.
· Good understanding of tolerances and dimensional inspection.
· Strong attention to detail.
· Good communication skills and the confidence to raise quality concerns.
· Experience within laser cutting, sheet metal, fabrication, welding or precision engineering would be advantageous.
What We Offer
· £14.00–£16.00 per hour depending on experience.
· Full-time hours. Starting on a 10am-6pm shift pattern
· Temp-to-permanent opportunity.
