Job Description
We are recruiting on behalf of one of our clients, a specialist manufacturer of components for the MOD.
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring steel fabrications, machined components and other manufactured items meet engineering drawings, specifications and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Inspect components and fabrications against engineering drawings and specifications.
* Carry out dimensional checks using tapes, verniers, micrometres and go/no-go gauges.
* Identify and report defects, discrepancies and non-conformances.
* Complete inspection records and maintain accurate quality documentation.
* Carry out visual checks of fabrications, including weld finish where required.
* Work closely with production and engineering teams to resolve quality issues.
* Follow company quality, health & safety and defence industry standards.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a Quality Inspector or similar role within engineering, fabrication or manufacturing.
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and tolerances.
* Experience using handheld measuring equipment.
* Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach.
* Knowledge of weld finish quality would be beneficial but is not essential.
Hours of Work :
Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 3:30pm
Friday 7:30am - 12:30pm
