About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled Quantitative Analyst (Quant) to join their innovative team in Cambridge , contributing to their sophisticated trading and risk management functions within the banking and finance sector. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement pricing models for various financial instruments, including options and fixed income products.
- Design and back-test algorithmic trading strategies and execution algorithms.
- Conduct quantitative risk analysis, including VaR calculations and stress testing.
- Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and IT developers to integrate quantitative models into production systems.
- Stay abreast of market developments, new financial instruments, and advancements in quantitative finance.
Requirements
- Advanced degree (MSc or PhD) in a quantitative field such as Mathematics, Physics, Statistics, or Computer Science.
- Proven experience (3+ years) as a Quantitative Analyst or in a similar quantitative role within the financial services industry.
- Strong programming skills in C++, Python, or R, with experience in numerical methods.
- Deep understanding of stochastic calculus, probability theory, and financial derivatives.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly.
