We are looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our Manchester Cost Management team, working on complex, high-value projects across a diverse range of sectors.

About the Role

This is an excellent opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor to join an established and growing construction and property consultancy, working alongside an experienced and collaborative team. The successful candidate will be involved in the delivery of cost management and commercial services across a varied portfolio of complex projects. You will work closely with clients, consultants, contractors and internal teams, helping to successfully deliver projects from inception through to completion. The role offers excellent exposure to a range of sectors and project types, providing the opportunity to broaden your technical and commercial experience while developing strong, long-term client relationships. We are looking for someone who is ambitious, commercially aware and keen to take ownership of their projects and career development. Role: As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take responsibility for the commercial management of projects, providing high-quality cost and contractual advice throughout the project lifecycle. Your responsibilities will include: Leading cost planning, estimating, procurement and contract administration activities. Preparing and managing valuations, variations, payment recommendations and monthly financial reports. Monitoring project costs, commercial performance, risks and opportunities. Managing project changes and contractual obligations, escalating commercial risks where appropriate. Providing advice on contractual matters and supporting the resolution of commercial issues and disputes. Maintaining accurate cost data, project records, contract documentation and financial reports. Working closely with clients, contractors, consultants and project teams to ensure effective project delivery. Building strong, trusted relationships with clients and managing expectations throughout the project lifecycle. Supporting commercial compliance and risk management.
