Quantity Surveyor – Demolition / Enabling Works

Salary: £60,000–£75,000 DOE Location: Central London / London-based projects Job Type: Permanent Start: ASAP

Due to a significant increase in the forward order book, we are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join an established and growing construction business.

The majority of projects are Central London based, with a strong pipeline of upcoming work.

The Role

• Managing the commercial aspects of demolition, enabling works and civil engineering projects.

• Ideally working on demolition or enabling works projects, although strong civil engineering experience will also be considered.

• Preparing valuations, applications for payment and final accounts.

• Managing variations, costs and project budgets.

• Subcontractor procurement and management.

• Reviewing and agreeing subcontractor accounts.

• Cost reporting and forecasting.

• Supporting project teams with commercial and contractual matters.

• Working closely with clients, subcontractors and site teams.

• Ensuring projects are delivered commercially and efficiently.

About You

• 5–10 years' post-graduate experience as a Quantity Surveyor.

• Experience within demolition, enabling works or civil engineering.

• Demolition/enabling experience is particularly desirable.

• Strong commercial and contractual understanding.

• Good communication and negotiation skills.

• Comfortable working across Central London projects.

• Looking for a long-term permanent position rather than freelance work.

• A stable career history and evidence of committing to previous employers is preferred.

• Able to start ASAP or within a short notice period.
