Quantity Surveyor – Fast-Track Fit Out

Salary: Up to £75,000 + Car + Performance Bonus Location: Hybrid / Nationwide Projects. Guildford Base Sector: Leisure & Hospitality Fit Out Holiday: 25 Days + Bank Holidays

We are working with an established construction and refurbishment contractor looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team.

The business delivers high-quality fast-track fit-out and refurbishment projects across the UK, with a strong focus on the leisure and hospitality sectors, including pubs, restaurants, hotels and other high-specification venues.

This is a role for a commercially strong QS who is comfortable taking ownership of projects and working independently. You won't need someone looking over your shoulder – you'll be trusted to manage the commercial side of your projects from start to finish.

The Role

You will take commercial responsibility for multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects, working closely with clients, site teams, subcontractors and senior management.

Responsibilities will include:

Full commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account Procurement and management of subcontractor packages Preparing budgets, cost plans and project forecasts Managing valuations, variations and applications for payment Cost reporting and maintaining commercial control throughout each project Negotiating subcontractor accounts and final accounts Identifying and managing commercial risks Working closely with operational teams to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget Building strong relationships with clients and the wider supply chain Visiting live projects across the UK as requiredWhat We're Looking For Fast-track fit-out experience is essential.

You'll ideally have:

Strong Quantity Surveying experience within a main contractor or specialist fit-out contractor Proven experience delivering fast-track fit-out/refurbishment projects Experience within leisure, hospitality, pubs, restaurants, hotels or similar environments Strong commercial and contractual knowledge Experience managing projects independently Excellent subcontractor procurement and negotiation skills The ability to manage several projects simultaneously A practical, commercially minded approach Willingness to travel to projects nationwide when requiredThis role would suit someone who enjoys being given responsibility and the freedom to get on with the job rather than working within a heavily layered commercial structure.
