About the Role

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Coventry . You will be responsible for managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring projects are completed within budget. This role involves providing financial expertise and advice on procurement, tendering, and contract management. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of projects and fostering strong relationships with clients and suppliers, contributing to the company's reputation for financial accountability and project success within the competitive Coventry construction market.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, tender, and deliver an analysis of costs for projects, ensuring competitiveness and profitability.
• Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and dispute resolution.
• Conduct feasibility studies and financial appraisals for proposed projects.
• Monitor project expenditure and cash flow, reporting on financial status to senior management.
• Source and manage materials, negotiating prices with suppliers and subcontractors.

Requirements

• Professional qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, and financial management.
• Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
• Excellent negotiation and analytical skills, with a keen eye for detail.
