About the Role
Our client is seeking a diligent and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Coventry . You will play a crucial role in managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring that projects remain within budget and that financial objectives are met. This hybrid role requires a blend of office-based work for detailed financial analysis and contract administration, alongside site visits to monitor progress and verify measurements. The ideal candidate will possess excellent negotiation skills and a keen eye for detail, contributing to the financial success and efficiency of our client's diverse construction portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, tender, and deliver cost estimates , budgets, and project financial reports.
- Manage all costs relating to building projects, from initial calculations to final figures.
- Administer contracts, including negotiating variations and resolving disputes.
- Conduct feasibility studies and financial appraisals for proposed projects.
- Conduct site visits to monitor progress, measure work, and verify valuations.
- Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders on contractual and financial matters.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction sector.
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement routes , and financial management principles.
- Proficiency in cost estimation software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet strict deadlines.
