About the Role

Our client is seeking a meticulous and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Newcastle upon Tyne . This role involves managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial calculations to final figures. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects are completed within budget, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and value. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, tender, and deliver commercial arrangements and cost analyses.
• Review and manage all project costs , including labour, material, and equipment expenses.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Prepare and submit variations and interim valuations .
• Identify, analyse, and develop responses to commercial risks.
• Ensure compliance with contractual obligations and advise on contractual matters.

Requirements

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Proficiency in cost management software and MS Office Suite.
• Strong understanding of contract law and procurement processes.
• Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
