Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

Our client is seeking a diligent and analytical Quantity Surveyor to join their dynamic team in Birmingham . In this role, you will be responsible for managing all costs relating to construction projects, from initial calculations to final figures, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and that financial objectives are met. You will play a crucial part in advising on procurement strategies, managing contracts, and mitigating financial risks throughout the project lifecycle. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare, tender, and deliver an array of monthly and final accounts , rates, and estimates.
• Manage all costs, including advising on procurement strategy, drawing up contract arrangements and undertaking risk assessment.
• Analyze outcomes and write detailed reports on the findings.
• Provide advice on contractual claims, disputes, and arbitration.
• Negotiate and manage subcontractors and suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and other stakeholders to ensure project financial success.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
• Strong understanding of construction contracts, procurement, and cost management principles.
• Excellent analytical and numerical skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Proficiency in relevant surveying software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field is highly desirable.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
