The Role

Working closely with the Commercial Manager, Project Managers and site teams, you will take commercial responsibility for multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects, typically valued around £1m.

This is a varied role offering exposure to fast-paced projects across the hospitality and retail sectors, with opportunities to develop your career within a stable and growing contractor.

Key Responsibilities

Managing the commercial aspects of multiple fit-out and refurbishment projects. Preparing and managing project budgets and cost plans. Producing valuations, variations and final accounts. Procuring subcontractors and managing subcontract packages. Monitoring project costs and maximising commercial performance. Identifying and mitigating commercial risks. Building and maintaining strong client relationships. Supporting and mentoring junior members of the commercial team. Working collaboratively with operational teams to ensure successful project delivery. Undertaking occasional UK-wide travel to project sites.

About You

We're keen to speak with Quantity Surveyors who have experience within the fit-out or refurbishment sector and enjoy working in a fast-moving project environment.

Requirements

Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within fit-out, refurbishment or interiors. Strong commercial acumen and cost management skills. Experience managing subcontractors, procurement and variations. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent communication and client-facing skills. Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

Experience within Food & Beverage, Hospitality or Retail projects. Experience working for a main contractor. Degree or HNC/HND in Quantity Surveying or a related construction discipline.
