Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and highly motivated individual to join our research and development team. This full-time position will be based in our Bristol offices and offers a unique opportunity to gain experience in the exciting field of cell and gene therapy delivery to the brain within a medical device context, working alongside some of the greatest minds in the field.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain in-house software used in mission-critical settings
- Develop and maintain test protocols for device performance validation and troubleshooting
- Support the Head of Software Engineering across severalkey areas including R&D, algorithm design, mathematical modelling and data analysis
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and technical support, to deliver high-quality software solutions
- Ensure all software is well-documented and adheres to GLP standards and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field
- Strong mathematical skills and algorithm experience
- An ability to translate complex mathematical concepts into clean, reliable code
Preferred Knowledge:
- Experience with Windows and fluency with C#/.NET
- Knowledge of software development life cycles and testing methodologies
- Experience with image processing
- Proficiency in other languages/operating systems such as C++, MATLAB and Python
- Strong problem-solving, analytical skills and a natural curiosity
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- An interest in the healthcare industry or experience in medical devices would be advantageous, but not essential
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to work effectively within the wider Neurochase team
- Experience with medical imaging would also be advantageous , but not essential

Pay Range:
- 25 days of annual leave plus eight bank holidays
- Bristol-based location
