Scope

Akkodis is seeking an experienced RF Communications Product Development Lead to provide technical and programme leadership across complex aerospace and space programmes.

The position combines RF technical leadership, product ownership, supplier management and programme delivery, with responsibility for product performance, compliance, quality, cost and schedule throughout the development lifecycle.

Role

You will lead the development and delivery of RF communications products and subsystems from requirements definition through design, qualification, production and final acceptance.

Acting as the primary technical and programme focal point, you will coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams, suppliers and key stakeholders to ensure products meet customer requirements and achieve the required levels of performance, quality and maturity.

Responsibilities

• Manage delivery against technical, cost, quality and schedule objectives.
• Act as the primary interface with suppliers throughout development, qualification and production.
• Coordinate engineering, quality, procurement, manufacturing and project teams.
• Lead design, qualification, manufacturing-readiness and product-acceptance reviews.
• Produce and review requirements, specifications, interface documentation and verification evidence.
• Support link-budget, data-volume and system-performance analysis.
• Manage technical risks, non-conformances and corrective actions.
• Support statements of work, change requests and supplier performance management.

Required Experience

• Experience within RF communications, satellite communications, space systems, aerospace or a related regulated engineering environment.
• Leading complex communications or electronic products through the full engineering lifecycle.
• Managing specialist engineering suppliers or subcontractors.
• Supporting major design, qualification and product-maturity reviews.
• Producing and reviewing specifications, interface documentation and verification evidence.
• Managing technical risks, quality issues and programme-delivery challenges.
• Working across multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Required Skills

• Strong understanding of RF communications systems and subsystem architecture.
• Knowledge of satellite or aerospace communications technologies.
• Ability to perform or interpret link-budget and system-performance analysis.
• Understanding of systems engineering, requirements management, verification, validation and configuration management.
• Strong technical leadership, supplier management and stakeholder-management skills.
• Confident communication with customers, suppliers and engineering teams.

Required Education

A degree or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, RF Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Space Systems, Systems Engineering, Physics or a related discipline.
