Real Estate Development Manager

About the Role

Our client is looking for a strategic and experienced Real Estate Development Manager to join their dynamic team in Reading . This role is responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of real estate development projects, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to construction and final handover. You will manage project budgets, timelines, and external consultants, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality developments. Working in a hybrid capacity, you will contribute to key projects within Berkshire and the surrounding Thames Valley region, driving growth and innovation for our client.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of real estate development projects, ensuring timely and budget-compliant completion.
• Conduct feasibility studies, market analysis, and site acquisition assessments.
• Secure planning permissions and manage relationships with local authorities.
• Appoint and manage consultants, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Oversee the financial aspects of development projects, including budgeting and funding arrangements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks throughout the development process.

Requirements

• Proven experience in real estate development, project management, or a related field.
• Strong understanding of the development process, planning regulations, and construction management.
• Excellent financial acumen, with experience in budgeting and financial appraisal.
• Strong negotiation and contract management skills.
• Ability to lead and motivate project teams and external stakeholders.
• Educated to degree level in a relevant field such as Real Estate, Construction Management, or Business.
