About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Real Estate Development Manager to lead exciting new development projects based in Glasgow . This role is responsible for the entire lifecycle of development projects, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to planning, construction, and eventual sale or management. You will work closely with architects, engineers, local authorities, and construction firms to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This is a critical role for driving growth and shaping the urban landscape of Glasgow .
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and assess potential new development sites and projects.
- Manage the entire development process, including feasibility, planning permission, design, and construction.
- Develop and manage project budgets, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Appoint and manage external consultants, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure all projects comply with relevant planning policies, building regulations, and health & safety standards.
- Negotiate with landowners, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
Requirements
- Substantial experience in real estate development , project management, or construction management.
- Strong understanding of the planning system, construction processes, and property law in Scotland.
- Excellent financial acumen and contract negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage complex projects effectively.
- Degree in a relevant field such as Real Estate, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering.
