About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Real Estate Development Manager to drive significant development projects within the vibrant property market of Glasgow . This hybrid role involves managing the entire lifecycle of development projects, from initial concept and feasibility studies through to planning, construction, and final handover. You will be responsible for identifying new opportunities, securing planning permissions, managing budgets, and coordinating with various stakeholders including architects, contractors, and local authorities. Your expertise will be vital in delivering high-quality developments that meet both commercial objectives and community needs, shaping the urban landscape of Scotland .
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of the real estate development process for assigned projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, market analysis, and financial viability assessments for new development opportunities.
- Secure necessary planning permissions and manage relationships with local planning authorities.
- Appoint and manage consultants, architects, engineers, and construction contractors.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Manage project risks, including financial, legal, and construction-related challenges.
Requirements
- Significant experience in property development management, preferably within the UK commercial or residential sectors.
- Strong understanding of the planning system, construction processes, and contract negotiation.
- Proven ability to manage complex projects with multiple stakeholders in the Glasgow area.
- Excellent financial acumen, including development appraisal and budgeting skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
- A relevant degree in Property Development, Construction Management, or a related field.
