Real Estate Investment Associate

About the Role

Our client is seeking a driven and analytical Real Estate Investment Associate to support their investment activities in the Reading area. This role is integral to the acquisition and management of a growing property portfolio. You will be involved in market research, financial analysis, due diligence, and asset management, working closely with senior investment professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of real estate finance, excellent analytical capabilities, and a desire to contribute to strategic investment decisions. This position offers a hybrid working arrangement, allowing for collaboration in the office and focused work remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed market research and competitive analysis for target real estate sectors and geographic areas.
• Assist in the underwriting and financial modeling of potential acquisition opportunities, including DCF analysis and IRR calculations.
• Perform due diligence, including property inspections, title review, and environmental assessments.
• Support the asset management team in monitoring portfolio performance, lease administration, and property operations.
• Prepare investment committee materials, presentations, and reports.
• Identify and evaluate potential disposition opportunities for underperforming or mature assets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Real Estate, or a related field.
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in real estate investment, finance, or a related analytical role.
• Strong financial modeling skills in Excel and proficiency with financial databases.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and written communication skills.
• Understanding of real estate transaction processes and capital markets.
